Bringing Mental Health Support & Care to Residents of The Avenue
Westside Wellness: Mental Health Support for Latino Families
Westside Wellness is proud to offer free, culturally-responsive mental health programs for Latino
families in our community. These workshops create safe, supportive spaces for single parents, boys,
and girls who are navigating mental health challenges.
Programs include:
• Single-Parent Workshops (for Latino mothers and fathers)
• Boys Mental Health Group
• Girls Mental Health Group
All workshops are led by licensed mental health professionals and held in the evenings to
accommodate working families. Sessions include snacks, water, and calming tools to help
participants feel comfortable and supported. Child care is provided during parent sessions.
When & Where:
• Tuesdays and Thursdays, January through June
• Located at the Ramona Campus (767 N Ventura ave) Each group meets weekly for 6–12 weeks, depending on the program.
Why it matters:
These programs address the growing mental health needs of Latino youth and families with
compassion, connection, and care. By offering services in both English and Spanish, and by
providing logistical support like childcare and food, Westside Wellness ensures that healing is
accessible to those who need it most.

to making these evenings safe and effective for families.
The Impact:
Families who participate in Westside Wellness leave with more than just coping tools — they leave
with hope, community, and a renewed sense of connection. Parents gain confidence in supporting
their children’s mental health. Youth feel seen, heard, and empowered. These workshops are not
just sessions — they are lifelines, building resilience that ripples through homes, schools, and
neighborhoods.
